I'd like to hear how you are preparing for Easter this year.
Do you do anything personally or as a family that helps you remember Christs life, death and resurrection? What years have been most memorial to you in the past when celebrating this time of year? Do you have a favorite "Easter song" (is there such a thing?=)
I'd love to hear from you!

my favorite song: Because He Lives
I'm concluding my study of the 4 gospels and it coincides with the approach of Easter...it has been very meaningful to me this year.
I'm not much for traditions...but this year we are gong to visit my in-laws and hear their cantata...
My favorite Easter was the year after my daughter was born...it was warm enough for an all afternoon outdoor picnic at the park where the daffodils were in full bloom. My grandfather joined us that year...it was a rough year, but in the middle of the complications of life it was a beautiful day.
I am taking the marching band to Disney World...so, I have been working through the rules and regulations, bus list, hotel list, medical forms, parade route, dress code, instrumentation, travel plans, financial obligations, rehearsal schedule, and miscellaneous paperwork. bleah....
I will say, though, that having two deaths in the family this past month (three if you include my brother-in-law's grandma) tends to set the stage for Easter in a different way. We have been discussing death and a new life with Jesus. Going to the funeral on Saturday (the family didn't go with me last week) will make death a real thing for Adrianna, and we'll be able to discuss the excitement of Christ's Resurrection and how that ensures that we will see Uncle Jim and Grandpa Bernie again. I'm not so sure that Eliza will understand, but it's good for her to hear!
