Listening

One of my (many) quirks is that anytime I am working in the kitchen (and by working I mean doing ANYTHING for more than 30 seconds) I turn on the radio. This habit as it has become means I get to hear some great things and has on more than one occasion turned into spontaneous dancing sessions.
Hearing though typically is not enough in a lot of cases. I can go all day and hear stuff - kids talking, music playing, dogs barking etc... but it's completely different when I take the time to LISTEN. Such was the case last night. I was doing a (much more than 30 second) job in the kitchen so, of course, I turned the radio on. This song came on and being that I recognized the tune proves my point- I had HEARD this song before but I actually listened last night.
I love when I realize my thoughts, feelings, or ideas are not necessarily unique to me- someone else just had a way of explaining them. This songs lyrics were in my heart before I ever heard it. So if you have an extra 4 minutes- take a LISTEN to this song and be blessed.
